Landscapes

My impressionist landscape paintings are inspired by a collective memory and sense of place. These pieces are usually created intuitively without a planned destination. As the colors are layered and scraped away, images emerge that lead me to a that I may recognize, even if not in name. Viewers of these final works also seem to find familiar settings within them and often comment on a feeling of calm.
